Redefine's Story

Redefine's approach is strongly focused on education and movement retraining through the integration of exercise prescription and Pilates as key components of rehabilitation and maintenance conditioning.

Natalie is an APA Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor and member of the International Association of Dance Medicine (IADMS) with a special interest in working with dancers and athletes alike. She is passionate about education as a large focus of treatment, ensuring her clients are provided with the knowledge and tools they require to achieve complete recovery and optimise their performance.
Natalie has completed a Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Dance from Melbourne University's Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), studied a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science at Deakin University, and numerous Pilates Certifications. Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, Natalie was a professional contemporary dancer and dance teacher.
Having worked in Melbourne, Sydney and London, Natalie is excited to return to Newcastle and give back to the community who supported her development as a young, aspiring dancer.
Natalie has worked with notable companies as a physiotherapist including Sydney Dance Company, Melbourne Theatre Company, Chunky Move dance company and musicals including Evita, Muriels Wedding and Harry Potter. She has treated students from prestigious schools including the Australian Ballet school, Victorian College of the Arts and VCASS, Australian Conservatoire of Ballet and MacDonald College. Dance Schools include Brent St, ED5, Ministry of Dance, Sydney Pole, Sydney Trapeze School.
Her dance training includes Bachelor of Dance, RAD ballet, completing all grades and majors up to advanced 2, contemporary, jazz and tap.
Previously, Natalie has also worked with NSWIS swimming team, junior gymnastics squads, and triathletes.
Natalie has 10 years experience utilising clinical pilates for rehabilitation and prehab of hip, knee, ankle and spinal surgeries including total joint replacements and spinal fusions.
She has worked extensively with individuals who have degenerative conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, CMT and Parkinsons, along with Rheumatoid conditions, stroke patients and hypermobility.
Pre and post natal conditioning is also an area of interest and experience.
Natalie is passionate to assist everyone achieve their potential and improve their quality of life.
In her spare time, Natalie enjoys running, pilates, yoga and most recently learning to surf.
